We are pleased to announce that Godfrey Zwygart, GMBA China, has been appointed as the Director of the Culture and Arts Committee of the China Chamber of International Commerce (Sanya Chamber of Commerce). In his new role, Godfrey will foster relationships between government agencies and businesses within the cultural and arts sectors.

“My primary focus will be facilitating collaborations with businesses, sponsors, museums, galleries, and other relevant institutions to enhance Sanya’s cultural landscape. This appointment is pivotal as the Hainan Free Trade Port, under construction since 2018, is set to become a reality in 2025. The Sanya government is eager to transform the city into a vibrant arts and cultural hub, which is poised to become a cornerstone of Hainan’s economy in the coming years”, Godfrey shared.

Sanya has already attracted numerous large businesses, and the city’s Central Business District (CBD) has established a significant temporary exhibition space at the Sanya International Financial Center. An auction house has also been set up, and plans are underway for several exciting projects, including the Sanya Contemporary Art Museum.

The China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) is a non-profit organisation with over 100,000 members across China. It plays a crucial role in helping third parties organise and manage events, making it an ideal platform for driving regional cultural and economic growth.

If you have any project ideas or are interested in collaborating, please don’t hesitate to contact Godfrey.
