With more than four decades of executive leadership, Juhani Haapaniemi is a seasoned expert in the international boat industry, tourism, and strategic business development. He began his career at Fiskars Oy Ab, where he managed sales of Buster aluminium boats, before becoming a founding partner and CEO of Silver-Veneet Oy, later integrated into TerhiTec. Over the years, Juhani has overseen production, marketing, and international sales, building strong brands and expanding markets across Europe and Russia.
Beyond manufacturing, Juhani has led major tourism and hospitality ventures, including the Giant Panda Project at Ähtäri Zoo, which brought global attention through cooperation between Finland and China. He has held senior board roles with Finnboat (Finnish Marine Industries Federation) and the South Ostrobothnia Chamber of Commerce.
Today, as CEO of PookiPro Management, Juhani focuses on strategic consulting, internationalisation, and corporate development. His expertise spans corporate leadership, risk and change management, and trade fair production. He is widely recognised as a persuasive communicator, proactive strategist, and trusted partner in driving growth for the marine industry.
